About Bee Venom

Bee venom is well known for its therapeutic effect as a medicine and now as a beauty product. In large quantities a venom is toxic, however in small quantities it is a potent medicine and antioxidant. It improves blood circulation, well being and supports the immune system. Bee venom is a unique multi-component complex, which contains about 30 biologically active compounds, with the main components: peptides: melittin, apamin, peptide 401, adolapin, and protease inhibitors.

How does it work?

Used topically the bee venom in BeeQueen stimulates your skin to produce collagen and elastin, the building blocks to younger, firmer looking skin. The more you use the product, the better your results will be, although you will notice a tightening effect usually after the first application. The cream also contains NZ manuka honey, lavender, tea tree oil and shea butter to smooth and calm the skin.

Frequently asked questions

How is the bee venom extracted?

The bees are not harmed during the extraction process. A glass plate is placed at the entrance to the hive, which carries a light electrical current. The bees sting the glass but because they cannot penetrate the surface, they do not lose their stings, therefore are perfectly safe. After a few minutes the electrical current is stopped and the beehive resumes its normal activity. The glass plates are left to dry following which the dried venom is scraped off.

How quickly can I expect results?

Some people experience a tighenting effect immediately, with others it may take longer. It is important to keep up regular use. Most people will notice a firmer, plumper skin after approximately three weeks. The product must be used on a regular daily basis to maintain maximum benefit. The longer you use it, the better the result.

Is a patch test necessary?

BeeQueen is suitable for all skin types but some people have more sensitive skin than others. Please conduct a patch test by placing a small amount on the side of your jaw below your ear and leave overnight.

Are there any side effects?

There are no known side effects unless you are allergic to bees. Please do not use this product in that instance.
